Background rejection strategy

Our background rejection strategy is desctibed in the following paper.

Overview on Di-Electron analysis software in cbmroot2

Our analysis we have started with generic simulation. The related Analysis Task (Cbm) can be found: dilept.

Files location

  • PLUTO files : 100 files with 1000 events can be found on:
    • $\rho^{0}$ -> $e^{+}$$e^{-}$ : /d/cbm02/galatyuk/pluto/auau/25gev/rho0/epem/pluto.auau.25gev.rho0.epem. 0000.root -> .0099.root
    • $\rho^{0}$ -> $\mu^{+}$$\mu^{-}$ : /d/cbm02/galatyuk/pluto/auau/25gev/rho0/mumu/pluto.auau.25gev.rho0.mumu. 0000.root -> .0099.root

Transverse momentum vs rapidity distribution and invariant mass spectrum presented on the plots below. The effect of the transverse momentum cut are also shown: red line - invariant mass distribution after transverse momentum cut 100MeV, blue line - 200MeV.

Meson Multiplicities

For central Au+Au collisions we use mesons multiplicities which were calculated using HSD. If You For minimum bias analysis meson multiplicities have to be scale down by factor of 0.2. To estimate the scaling factor we take a ratio of the pions, kaons multiplicities in minimum bias to central collisions. Result is present on the picture. The mesons multiplicities for minimum bias eventsare in the table below. From central to minimum bia events:

Central:Minimum bias:
$\omega$ 38 7.6 (38 * 0.2)
$\rho^{0}$ 23 4.6 (23 * 0.2)
$\phi$ 1.28 0.256 (1.28 * 0.2)
